The Reflecting New York Collection

Using a hand held mirror in locations around New York I invite distant buildings, structures or other nearby scenes into the main photo to create a viewing experience that requires a second look. His goal is to visually loosen up the obvious, to create images that often surprise him as much as he hopes they will surprise and intrigue the viewer. 


My individually signed museum-quality inkjet prints - on Hahnemühle Fine Art Baryta 325 gsm paper - are printed by Carl Saytor at Luxlab, one of New York's premier fine art printers. The lab's quality is outstanding  and professional packaging assures safe shipping (US only).

A Certificate of Authenticity is included with each print. Larger custom print sizes (visualized in some of the mockups) are available !!

Hudson Yards from my Window

The towers of New York's Hudson Yards appear outside our window like a visiting space ship every day, in all their glassy glory, sometimes wrapped in fog, or bathed in sunlight, or framed by clouds. Always different, always interesting. Their strangeness is their strength. It took a while, but we became friends.


I made these photos of Hudson Yards from - and through - a window in Chelsea, Manhattan, NYC; with sunset clouds reflecting in the same window I shot the photo through, which it is in a 90 degree angle to the position of the camera, giving it a double exposure look, but it is one and the same photo, no tricks. The sunset happened to the left of the building.
